The Plymouth Rally

The Plymouth Rally.

March 8/9th 2025

2025 will mark nearly 17 years since the last running of this event.
It all started back in 1951 as the Presidential Rally, a long distance event with long road sections, tests that were more like trials and autotest.

Over the years it has been a road rally, forest stage rally and back to a road rally resurrected in 1983. As with a lot of long running road events in the 80s, the drastic rule overhaul for road events changed the way it ran. We want to bring back night event rallying to Plymouth MC and the fabulous lanes traditionally used by the club, keeping the experts on their toes and getting the novices all the way around without going OTL. The event is getting a lot of support from neighbouring clubs – something we are grateful for.

So for the 2025 edition, the event has a fantastic start and finish location just off the A30 near Launceston, with plenty of room for trailers, and a scrutineering venue very close by, courtesy of regular South West stage rally competitor Martin Waters and M&M Plant hire.

Subject to the usual Motorsport UK route authorisation and “PRing changes” it will be approximatly a 150 mile route with 125 of that competitive.
A mix of “to the minute” and “to the second” the intentions to is to be challenging enough for the Experts to drop seconds here and there, whilst the Novices stay within OTL.
The event is set to be a round of the South Western Road Rally championship which for 2025 is hosted by Taunton Motor Club, and is set to run on Saturday and Sunday 8/9th March 2025.

Supplementary Regulations will be available as soon as we get a permit, and entries are set to open 2000 on 14th January using the MTC1 system.
